It was recently announced that Facebook is launching a news-reading app called Paper. The news-consumption app will present longer-form Facebook content in a more appealing, magazine-style way. The idea is to encourage users to engage more over posts, stories and images. With 945 million of Facebook’s 1.2 billion users visiting the site via a smart phone or tablet in the last few months, Facebook is confident that the mobile app, Paper, will be a success. If that is the case, Christy Ferer and the Vidicom team think Paper will be a fantastic mobile platform for brands to advertise.
